If you’re not one of the four million people playing Rocket League, now is the time to start. Psyonix Studios has released more details via Twitter about the updates and new content coming to the game in the near future.
An upcoming patch will include the following changes:
- Fix for a bug keeping players from getting the Virtuoso achievement
- Fix for item tracking statistics for online games
- Mouse Sensitivity setting for PC users
- Player Win/Loss ratio on the Stats page will be displayed as win percentage
Psyonix is also working on a few features that should be showing up in the future including 3v3 team ranked matches, a spectator mode, cross platform play, reward items for players affected by past server outages, and punishments for players that leave a game mid-match.
Both free and paid DLC packs are expected in the next few weeks. The free DLC will include a map inspired by the Utopia track from Psyonix’s previous game Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars. The paid Supersonic Fury DLC pack will include two new vehicles, the first of which you can see above. The second vehicle will be a muscle car. It’s possible that pearlescent paint could be included in one of these packs, but Psyonix has yet to confirm.
Rocket League has gathered up a huge following in the two weeks since its release; Game Informer has featured it in a Test Chamber and even gave it a 9/10 in a review. If you’re in the mood for some chaotically fun car-based soccer matches, be sure to pick up Rocket League on either PS4 or PC.
